Privacy policy

Your data is used only to fulfil the recovery request

When you request a recovery result, the app sends the selected head-unit model, the ERC you entered, the store transaction credential, and your authorization confirmation to our recovery server. Apple or Google separately processes your payment under its own privacy policy.

We use this information only to verify payment, generate and deliver one recovery result, prevent a purchase from being reused, resolve failed deliveries, prevent fraud, and provide customer support.

Information is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. After fulfilment, the server stores one-way hashes of the transaction credential and ERC, the selected model, recovery result, transaction reference, fulfilment state, and timestamps for up to 12 months, then deletes them. The raw ERC and transaction credential are not retained in the completed record.

The app may temporarily store an unfinished ERC and model on the device so an interrupted purchase can be recovered. This information is cleared after successful delivery.

For security and abuse prevention, the server temporarily processes the requesting IP address for rate limiting. Rate-limit records expire within 15 minutes. If you contact support, we use your email address and message only to respond and retain them only as needed to handle the request or meet legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, use third-party advertising, track users across apps or websites, or create user accounts.

Terms of use

Authorized recovery only

By using the app, you confirm that you own the relevant vehicle or have the owner's permission to service its head unit. You must not use the service on stolen property or for any unlawful purpose.

Compatibility depends on the head-unit version and the accuracy of the ERC entered. One consumable in-app purchase provides one recovery result for the submitted model and ERC. Store payment and refund rules are governed by Apple or Google, as applicable.

The service does not connect to, operate, or modify a vehicle. The user manually enters the supplied result. Use of the result and work performed on the vehicle remain the responsibility of the vehicle owner or authorized technician.

Toyota is a trademark of its respective owner. It is used descriptively to identify compatible vehicle-family head units. This independent service is not sponsored, approved, or endorsed by Toyota Motor Corporation.
